Our commitments

We do not sell personal information. We do not use financial information for targeted advertising. We explain the information practices that apply to the released product in this policy.

Information we handle

Supported CSV and OFX/QBO bank exports can contain transaction dates, descriptions, amounts, balances and account-related fields. Those details may be personal information. If you create an account, we also handle your email address, authentication/session information, saved sort state and structural sorting evidence. If you contact us, we handle the information in your message.

Local work and saved sorts

Import, Review and export run in your browser. Local working state stays on that device while you work. If you choose to create an account, BUNG IT saves a recoverable copy of the current sort, including canonical transactions, source provenance, Review decisions, categories and safe structural grouping evidence. We do not retain uploaded source files separately in this V1 flow.

Saved structural evidence helps BUNG IT recognise useful transaction patterns for that account. It does not make future Business, Personal, deductible or category decisions automatically.

Purpose and service providers

We process information to provide the feature you request, maintain an account and saved sort, send operational authentication emails, respond to enquiries and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use financial information for targeted advertising. Supabase provides authentication and database infrastructure. Email delivery and contact messages may be processed by the configured transactional email provider. Those providers process information only to provide their service to BUNG IT.

Retention, deletion and diagnostics

You can delete a saved sort or your account from Account. Account deletion removes account-controlled saved sorts and saved learning from the active product. Service-provider backups and records required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations may persist for a limited period. You may choose to download a structure-only import diagnostic; downloading it does not send it to BUNG IT.

Access, correction and complaints

Contact hello@bungit.com.au about personal information BUNG IT holds through direct correspondence, correction requests or a privacy complaint. We may need to verify a request. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Important draft status

This policy does not identify a legal entity, ABN, subprocessor, overseas-processing location, retention period or security certification because those launch decisions have not been made. It is not legal advice and is not represented as legal compliance advice.
